New in Switzerland, experienced behind the scenes. KO PLAN is the Swiss representation of one of the leading Greek manufacturers of sun protection systems.
Who we are
KO PLAN is a Swiss-based company for high-quality shading systems and architectural outdoor solutions. The company is new here, but it belongs to a group that has been active in Athens for more than 25 years.
That distinction matters to us: the name KO PLAN is young in Switzerland, the experience behind it is not. Numerous projects were completed abroad before we began building the Swiss market.
What we do
Our focus is supplying trade businesses. Blind makers, sun protection specialists, metalworkers, installers, architects, planners and construction firms source Floros Group systems through us and look after their own clients with them.
In addition we advise private clients directly and handle installation on request. The two belong together: anyone who installs regularly knows what matters at the engineering stage.
The manufacturer: Floros Fine Shading
Floros Fine Shading is a Greek family company founded in 1979 and run today by the second generation. K. H. FLOROS S.A. was established in 1994. The company covers every stage, from design through manufacturing and assembly to supply and service.
The plant sits in the industrial area of Aspropyrgos near Athens on a site of roughly eight acres. Production includes an in-house foundry, an in-house textile workshop and a dedicated testing area.
According to the manufacturer, its products were used to protect the Parthenon marbles during maintenance work on the Acropolis.
Manufacturer milestones
- 1979: founded by Konstantinos Floros, one of the first specialised shading companies in Greece
- 1992: exclusive partnership with the Italian textile manufacturer Para
- 1994: establishment of K. H. FLOROS S.A.
- 1999: creation of an in-house textile workshop
- 2001: plant in the Aspropyrgos industrial area
- 2004: exclusive partnership with the Japanese film manufacturer Achilles
- 2005: TUBO production line and international ISO certification validated by TÜV Austria
- 2009: commissioning of an in-house foundry
- 2012: start of testing and monitoring procedures for CE marking
How we work
We do not promise anything the factory cannot deliver. Dimensions, projections and wind loads are checked before the quotation, not after. If a system is not suitable for a situation, we say so.
Prices are quoted per project. We deliberately do not publish a price list, because axis dimension, projection, drive unit and colour determine the figure.
